Obituary of Marianna Pugliese

Marianna Pugliese, age 95, of Whitehouse Station NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 26, 2020.

Born in the village of Spilinga in the Calabria region of Italy, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Francesca Calello.    She married her childhood sweetheart in 1948 and immigrated to America in 1951.

Marianna was a devout Catholic and devoted herself to her family.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Girolamo in 2008.   Marianna is survived by her son, Joe of Whitehouse Station NJ and by her daughter, Maria Mattera and her husband, Louis of Forked River NJ, her five grandsons, Gerry, Joseph, Michael, Steven, and David and her three great grandchildren Luke, Cayden, and Luciana.

Marianna will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her and for her unlimited faith and devotion to prayer.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
