Obituary of Helen F Gross

Helen F. Gross (Whitten), age 96, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021.  She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on December 10, 1924.  She lived in Jacksonville, Florida until moving to Denville, New Jersey in 1941.  Helen graduated from Boonton High School in 1943.  During WWII she was employed by U.S. Army Civilian Air Corps in Caldwell, New Jersey.  Later she was employed by M. Epstein in Morristown.  In 1953 she retired to become a stay-at-home mom.  Helen lived in Parsippany for 56 years until moving to Whitehouse Station in 2011.  

A truly wonderful wife and mother she is survived by cherished children Steven Gross, Joanne Costello, James Costello, son-in-law and adored granddaughters, Leanne Costello and Carly Mannery.  Helen is predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank;her brothers, William C. Whitten, St. Augustine, Florida and Luther Whitten, Denville, New Jersey as well as her lifelong friend Marie Dobbins of Morris Plains.
