Obituary of Marian Esposito

Marian Esposito, age 103, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 11, 2021 with her daughter, Marlene, by her side.

Marian was born in the family homestead on Old Highway on January 25, 1918, and has lived on the same street all her life with or near her cherished family. She and her beloved husband, Patrick, were married 42 years before his death in 1991. Marian was a loving mother and inspiration to her daughter, Marlene.

She has been a member of the Whitehouse United Methodist Church for 88 years where she taught Sunday school, served dinners, and worshipped with her church family. She and her sister, Adele, manned the radio at the East Whitehouse Fire Company prior to the use of the 911 system.

Marian was a beautician who traveled to Westfield daily on the train. After her daughter was born, she remained home. Later in her life she became a crossing guard for Readington Township. She finally retired just prior to the age of 90.

Along with her parents and husband, Marian was predeceased by her four sisters, Adele Calio, Irene Moulton, Doris Balecki, and Hazel Schwarz and her two nephews, Wayne Calio, and Anthony Esposito.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Marlene Lambert and her husband Jeff of Ringoes and many nieces and nephews: Marilyn Calio and her husband John Fitzgerald of Hillsborough, Linda Fritz of Annandale, Judy Sachs and her husband, Bill, of Maryland, Michael Rorick and his wife, Arlene, of NY, Art Rorick and his wife, Sandy, of NY, John Rorick and his wife, LouAnn, of NY, Kathy Couture of Alabama, Rosemary Zavodjancik of Georgia, and Antoinette DeRosa of Connecticut.

Due to gathering restrictions services will be private.

In memory of Marian, donations may be made to the Whitehouse Untied Methodist Church or Hunterdon Hospice.
