Obituary of Ruth Bonventre

Ruth Bonventre, age 88 of Whitehouse Station, NJ died Friday, May 28, 2021 at Sunrise Senior Living of Bridgewater.

Born in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Ellenora Nacke.

Ruth lived in Cincinnati, OH for many years before moving to Whitehouse Station over five years ago.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Cincinnati Tennis Club.

She was a longtime member of Saint Xavier Catholic Church in Cincinnati until she moved to New Jersey and joined Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

Ruth and her husband enjoyed spending many winters in San Diego where they owned an apartment.  She was good at everything she did and was considered by her family a "jack of all trades".  She was an incredible seamstress, as well as chef, and could refinish or reupholster anything.  Ruth was adored by all of her friends and family, but most especially by her niece and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter in 2020 and by her two brothers, Robert Nacke in 2000 and Cletus Nacke in 2011.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Bonaventura and her husband, Vincent of Whitehouse Station, as well as her many loving nephews and niece.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Annandale, NJ.
