Obituary of Ernest H Lunden III
Ernest H Lunden III, age 93 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died suddenly on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.
Born in Oneonta, New York, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ella May Lunden. Ernest lived in Whitehouse Station most of his life. He also owned a home in Ocala, Florida.
Ernest was a Fleet Manager for Twin County Grocers, Inc. in Edison before his retirement.
He was an Army and Merchant Marine Veteran and honorably served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the Whitehouse American Legion, Post 284 and the Delray Beach VFW, Post 4141. Ernest was also a member of the Readington Lions Club.
He was a “jack of all trades” and especially enjoyed working on motors and fishing.
Ernest was predeceased by his two daughters, Dawn Lunden and Judy Eisenberg.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Veronica, his son, E.J. Lunden, his daughters, Rose Witt, Mary Sue Farraer, Karen Keyser, Georgia Keyser, Tracy Pratt and Annette Keyser. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Patrick Mancini, Dakota Eisenberg, Anderienna Lunden, and Asa Clark and his great grandchildren, Beatrice Eisenberg, Asa Clark, and Olivia Clark and his sister, Cookie Lunden.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:00 PM.
