My dad was a handy man that worked for Heidi's parents.who lived in Delmar, New York. The family invited my family to a holiday meal or sometimes just to visit on a Sunday. Heidi was always sad when we had to leave. The photo is of Heidi and her parents.

Heidi, since I heard of your passing I am flooded with the many years of memories that I was so lucky to have shared with you. From all the times we danced at various dinners and celebrations, to the trips we took, swimming in the ocean, the camping trips. Your sense of humor and the jokes you always told about cats and birds, fish, sharks, turkeys, and lobsters. The movies we watched. We both love 70's and 80's horror! And how you would laugh so hard everytime it looked so fake in those movies when Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers struck yet again. Our mutual love of the Halloween holiday and Fall season. That time we drove all around NJ to go to different Halloween costume shops. Thank you for all the reminders of when daylight savings will be starting or concluding. Without you I will just go back to not realizing when it is happening.
I know I am one of so many who knew you and will be so saddened to hear of your loss. But I will miss you dearly. Dearly. You are truly and absolutely one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life and in the world, and one of my very favorite people ever and I am so lucky to have known you. You spent your life just being nice to people and trying to be a good person and do the right thing. It is so rare to know someone who is just so nice to every single person they meet every single day, without fail. That is who you are. You are the kind of person who makes other people's life good, just by being around. I miss you so much.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Heidi used to come in and visit me when I worked at "It's all good" in Somerville. She always brightened my day and we had so much fun together. We especially used to enjoy chatting about our mutual hatred of ground turkey! That always left us both laughing.
I deeply regret that I did not get her contact info before leaving the state. I thought of her often and will always remember her with love and affection.
Heidi was a pure soul and a gift to this earth. She will be sorely missed.
With deepest condolences,
Diane Gerber
