Obituary of Diane McPherson

Mrs. Diane Dobbs McPherson, 66, of Lewes Delaware passed away Friday, September 3, 2021

Diane was born in East Orange NJ to the late Leo Elmer and Jennie Lee Heron Dobbs and spent the earlier part of her life in Edison, NJ prior to marrying and moving to Whitehouse Station NJ with her husband, Bruce Paul McPherson in 1979.  They retired to Lewes in 2014.

In addition to her husband, Bruce, she is survived by daughter, Rebecca May Baran of Dallas, PA; and son, Peter Nelson McPherson of Groton, MA; two beautiful grandchildren, Ava Sophia and Beau Robert Baran; sister, Donna Lea Heron of Enfield, NH; and sister in-laws, Sandra Hodge and Colleen Sorace.

Diane had a wonderful career starting in oral care formulations and Regulatory Affairs at Colgate-Palmolive in Piscataway, NJ. Subsequently she worked in Regulatory Affairs at Pharmacia, Glaxo-Smith Kline, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson.  She was respected by many and will be missed by the people whose lives she touched.

She enjoyed traveling throughout the US, Europe and especially St. Martin, St. Barths, and Jamaica in the Caribbean.  She spent much time on the Jersey Shore and once settling in Lewes, enjoyed time on the pontoon boat on Rehoboth Bay.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday September 9. 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse.
