So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. We always felt a connection to your big Catholic family lined up in the pew at OLL. Also remembering fun times at annual fall picnics playing football, sneaking rootbeer on tap while dodging bees & three legged races... And then there were HCHS games, marching band ... your Dad & Mom did well. May he rest in peace.
--God's continued blessings to all of your families.

Mr. P. was my favorite teacher at Cranford High. He is the reason I became a nurse. My condolences to his family and I'm sure my dad, a fellow ND graduate, will be hanging out with him in Heaven. Go Irish!

Mr. Petrozelli is my friend Theresa’s dad. And their home was my home away from home for many years in middle school and high school. I loved the feeling of being there for dinner with this honored “head of the house”. Always a generous and warm welcomer, I learned true Italian hospitality from this man! He had the craziest home office I’d ever seen with cool & creepy specimens in formaldehyde pickle jars! I could tell he really took his job seriously. He also took his vacations seriously. And I was fortunate to be invited on a good handfull. Assateague Islamd was a favorite because of the wild ponies. Theresa, her dad and I were walking the beach one way and then headed back. I noticed some interesting tracks and said “Look! Pony prints!” These were Mr.P’s tracks that his unique polio stance created as he walked and I felt horrible when Theresa said “those are my Dad’s!” I was relieved when we all laughed so hard when it was brought up again. Nothing kept Theresa’s dad from enjoying life and his family! His example was inspiring to me and I thank him for his kindness to me, his foster vacation child :-). Rest In Peace Pops Petrozelli. You have earned it and showed your love for the Lord in all you did. Thank you for sharing him with me, Theresa and siblings and Mrs. P. Hugs to you all.
Love, Susie Stryker (White )

Claudette & family, I would like to express my deepest condolences to you all during this difficult time. I have so many fond memories of cousin Joe. He was such a kind and warm hearted person, and I’m so very lucky to have had him in my life. He touched so many people. I’m going to miss him so very much. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He’s resting in Jesus‘s arms now, and you know he had a huge welcoming party to greet him in Heaven. Rest softly Joe.

I didn't have Mr. P but everyone at Hillside JH knew him! He was a kind & awesome teacher. I later ran into him, about 8 years ago, at one of his grandchildren's music recital at Readington Middle School where my brother was the music director. He came up to my mom & I & was so very gracious.
Rest In Peace Mr. P the orchestra of Heaven's angels has a new member!

Mr. P was such a good teacher. I was a bit of a knucklehead back then, but he knew just how to handle me, a little bit firm a lot of bit kind. He gave me the job of feeding his frogs. I loved that job and I loved Mr. P. He was also neighbors with my Uncle Bob in Whitehouse Station, NJ. My deepest condolences to all his family members. May the good Lord comfort you all at this time.

I have written about Mr. P in the National Biology Teachers Journal The American Biology Teacher. He was the most influential high school teacher I had. It was his investment in my life that directed me into Biology Education. His legacy continues in all those he impacts. Thank you Mr. P

He was a very special person, teacher and friend. He encouraged my husband's love of animals and he had chickens, rabbits, ducks. My husband then shared his experience with Mr. P. with his children hatching quail eggs and raising them along with the dogs, and rabbit. Thank you and RIP Mr. P. We love you. So sorry to hear this. Mr P was a great man and wrestling coach. Will always remember getting pulled on our sleds around his property when we were in Hillside JH and on the wrestling team. We started the recreation wrestling clinic together which grew to over 100. God bless you.
