Obituary of Linda D Herder

Linda D. Herder, age, 71 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, October 26, 2021, with her family by her side. 

Born in Leesville, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer and Gloria Taylor Johnson.  Coming from Lake Charles, LA, Linda moved to Whitehouse Station in 1970.  She was a former volunteer for the Whitehouse Rescue Squad and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, in Oldwick.  She retired from Johnson and Johnson in Raritan where she was a Documentation Specialist.

Linda enjoyed the beach and spending time at her beach house.  Linda also enjoyed traveling around the country with her husband, Fred.  She received her most joy being able to spend her quality time with all of her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Frederick L. Herder, Jr., and her loving daughters, Brandi Berenty (Andy) of Frenchtown and Vicki Colasurdo (Phil) of Whitehouse Station and her amazing grandchildren, Shelby, Dillon, Brianna, Kaitlyn, and Madisyn.  She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Cierra Berenty.  She is also survived by her loving siblings, Lila Faul of LA, Russ Johnson of FL, Steve Johnson of Whitehouse Station, Kayla Forester (Jerry) of LA, and Wallace Johnson of OH.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM with a service immediately following at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery.
