Weingart Family:
Another Enright weighs in on the Great Man: Ed Weingart. I interviewed with Ed to be a temp employee for Advanced Mobile Phone Service in August of 1981. Liberal Arts Degree. Jobs as a golf course caddy, a janitor, a supermarket employee. Why wouldn't you hire me to be part of an Engineering Dept. I could list a thousand reasons but I'd imagine my comments should not exceed five thousand words. It worked out. Perhaps I could have been an over-educated postman or an undereducated petty functionary of one sort or another. Ed gave me a job, a career, a life. He was always kind to me. He showed patience when I became impatient. When I made mistakes or bad assumptions, he didn't have me blindfolded and shot at dawn in front of a nearsighted firing squad. Not to mention he hired my brother when he needed a job. Two Enrights is enough to put any company out of business!!
RIP Ed. I was not the only one you took a chance on and for that you have my respect, my admiration and my thanks. God Bless.
Richard Enright (AMPS, BAMS, Verizon Wireless, Retired w/ 35 years)

Ed was a "stand-up guy" for as long as I knew him (1983 - onward), who always had my best interests at heart since beginning in the cellular industry when it was at its infancy. Tough as nails, but a big heart, he was kind to me, my brother (who got me started in wireless), and eventually my wife, Diane (where we met while working at AT&T Wireless, both working for Ed in Engineering).
All the Enright families send our condolences to Ed's entire, wonderful family.

My deepest sympathies for the family and friends of Ed’s.
I had the Great Honor of being Ed’s Caregiver.
Ed was a kind, compassionate caring man.
It wasn’t long before Ed and I became very good friends.
There’s no words to express the loss I felt when I recieved the call of his passing.
I will always miss my friend a lot.
I’m sure a man such as himself will RIP and will always be looking down on Mary and Danni..
Fly high my friend......

My deepest condolences and prayers of comfort to Ed's entire family. He was a good friend and mentor to me for the past 10 years at Buccaneer Gun Club who always had time for a kind word. You were a wealth of knowledge and I will miss our many great conversations about guns and photography. Rest in Peace Dodge City Dude. You will be missed. Tami Hahn

My deepest sympathy is extended to the entire family. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Weingart, I have the pleasure of knowing his beautiful daughter Marie. May all the beautiful memories of the love you shared shine a light through the pain of loss.
