Our sincere condolences on the passing of Walt. Steppy was a great Paramedic and as well as a police officer. My wife and I both worked with Walt at various time. Kris as a RN at the Inpaitent Behavioral Unit and Ed as an EMT with the Milford-Holland Rescue Squad. Walt always went out of his way to work with EMTs and explain what and why he was doing something on the call, whether is was in the house or ambulance. He was truly a gifted Paramedic who helped many patients and EMTs during his years of service to HMC MiCU.
May he Rest in peace, our prayers go out to his family and friends. There will never be another Steppy.

To Karen and Family, I never met you but I feel your loss. I know Walter from High School. We shared home room for 4 years. Walter was my lab partner in Biology. We worked well together and he and I shared laughs about the messy lab assignments. Years later, I was so glad to see Walter when he came to my family's aid when my mother was taken to HMC. I would occasionally see him at the hospital. It was a comfort to me to see his smiling face, Sending prayers of comfort to you and all who he held dear.

Walt was a Paramedic classmate of mine in the late 80's. It was always a pleasure when our paths would occasionally cross over the ensuing years. Just a great guy. Rest in peace my friend.

It was so sad to hear of Walt’s passing. Steppy was one of the good guys. I first knew him when we road the bus together in grammar school. His life of service to others is a testimony to the caring heart of this good man. Rest In Peace Steppy. Sincere sympathy to his family and his dear wife Karen. Lee Evans Boyd
