Joe was a valued friend, co-worker and respected member of management at FEDEX. I joined him on many sales calls and certainly learned much from him. Good Man. Dave Wilson

Rosemarie, Angelo, and the entire DeGeorge family... I was saddened to learn that Joe had recently passed. When I think of Joe, it brings a smile because he knew how to have fun in business and still get the job done. (Who can forget "Father Guido DeGeorgio"?) And when we talked about our tomatoes, he laughed when I said he reminded me of that scene in "The Godfather", playing with grandkids in the garden. Whether as a boss or as a peer, he was always a solid guy. He'll be missed.

To Rosemarie and the entire DeGeorge family, I would like to send my most sincere condolences to all of you. As an old saying goes, when God created Joe D, he broke the mold!! Truly a wonderful person, husband, and father. You will be missed by many, but never forgotten! God bless you Joe, and all the lives you've touched throughout the years.
Sincerely,
David Bittone

Because of Joe, I was given the opportunity to work for FedEx for 30 years. He was truly my mentor, my friend at times my counselor and definitely part of my family. Moving to Texas knowing not a single soul, Joe and Rosemarie took my son and I in as part of their family. I am saddened by his loss but my memories with Joe and his family will live on in my heart forever till we meet again! RIP Joe!

Heaven gained an angel today.
My Uncle Joey was a family man, with a heart of gold. Every summer his garden would florish with ripe tomatoes, eggplant and squash, which he would share with all. Christmas he would make his famous Christmas balls for all to enjoy. And boy did he enjoy a good cigar, which I was fortunate to share with him on many occasions.
Rest easy Uncle Joe. I love you.

Dear Dad, I miss you so much already. I wanted to hear you say my name one more time. You gave the definition of the term “family comes first”. You put everyone before yourself always. You protected us, thank you for that. Thank you for building this family unit and making sure we knew this was important to you. You were a great storyteller and could like up a room. Everyone wanted to listen to you. People admired you from near and far. It took so little to make you happy. I don’t know what mom will do without you. Please watch over her. Please don’t ask her to come with you anytime soon. I was so proud to be your daughter, you were so smart and worked for everything you had, and I know your work ethic rubbed off on me. A day will not go by that I won’t think of you. I love you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being my dad. This we meet again. Love your daughter Angela. PS. If you can use some divine intervention please help the Mets make the playoffs this year. I feel you watching over me already. Till we meet again.

I was so sad to hear that Joe D passed away. He is what I think about when I reflect back on the good old days at FedEx. I will always remember him as a man of great respect. Joe showed me much kindness early on in my career and I never forget it.
We spoke about our beloved Mets and one day Joe sent me to NYC to represent FedEx at the Mets event with WFAN. While I was there I saw John Franco who signed a baseball for him that said to Joe D. I was happy to give it to him because I knew he was such a met fan and he would appreciate it, and it was the least I can do as he thought of me to send me to this event.
Angelo, so sorry for your loss and just know that I am thinking of you and your family.
