Obituary of Patricia La Tournous

Patricia Ann La Tournous passed into eternal rest on December 14, 2021. Born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Pat was raised in Hondesdale by Jim and Maude Roberts, the youngest of their five children.

She met Francis La Tournous, the love of her life, and they were soon inseparable. They were married in 1961 and moved to Plainfield, NJ and began their family. They raised their three children in Kearny, where they made many lifelong friends. Pat worked as an executive secretary but focused most of her attention on caring for her children. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed serving as class mom, den mother, chaperone, and was a constant presence at her children’s activities, including dance classes, class trips, and baseball games.

After their children were grown, Pat and Fran moved to Clinton, NJ, where they enjoyed spending time with friends and family. They volunteered at the Red Mill, took rides in the countryside, and enjoyed visiting their friends, children, and grandchildren.

Pat and Fran were temporarily separated by his passing in 2012, and she lived with the comfort that they would be reunited again one day. She was predeceased by her siblings: Ruth, Margie, Larry, and Jane. She is survived by her children: Charles (and Judy) La Tournous, Suzanne (and Brian) Donohue, and Allen (and Ana) La Tournous. She was overjoyed by her eight grandchildren: Nicole, Alex, and James; Stephen, Kylie, and Drew; and Allen Jr. and Adam. She was blessed to meet her great-granddaughter Raegan.

Pat lived her life full of faith and love and was happiest in the presence of her husband and family. We say goodbye to her with the comfort of knowing she is once again in his loving embrace.
