Obituary of John Koch

John G. Koch, age 84 of Oxford, NJ, died Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

Born in Irvington, he was the son of the late Emil and Margaret Koch.

John was a resident of Whitehouse Station for 60 years before moving to Oxford 12 years ago.

He was a member of Insulators Local 32 in Newark and the Classic Car Club in Union.  He had a passion for classic cars and loved watching stock car racing.  John was a generous, kind, and gentle man.  He was loved and admired tremendously by his wife, children, grandchildren and friends and he will be enormously missed. 

He was predeceased by his daughter, Heathre in 2012 and by all his siblings.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Cookie; his four sons, Bob Darling and his wife, Kathi of VA, Jeff Darling of PA, John Koch and his wife, Sue of CT, and Tracey Koch and his wife, Loc of RI; by  his two daughters, Wendi Esteves and her husband, Jorge of Washington, NJ and Kim Buchner and her husband, Paul of GA as well as his beloved grandchildren, Kelley, Bobby, Tim, Amy, Megan, Adam, Sarah, Kelly, Samantha, and William and his cherished great grandchildren, Paige, Gavin, Trent, Marin, Teddy, Luke, Ryan Bennett, Haley, Ryan, Zachary and Addison.

Services will be private with a public Celebration of Life for family and friends being planned for July 2022.  Please check back periodically for updated information.
