Obituary of Henry C Cirit
Henry C. Cirit, age 83 of Whitehouse Station died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Born in Jersey City, he was the son of the late Henry and Anne Cirit.
He lived in Woodbridge before moving to Whitehouse Station 33 years ago.
Henry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Courter & Co for 25 years and later with Durr Mechanical in New York City for 25 years. One of Henry’s proudest accomplishments was working on the original World Trade Center.
He was a devout catholic and belonged to Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Henry was kind and generous and and would go out of his way to give a helping hand. He loved his Golden Doodle Louie and enjoyed feeding the birds and tinkering with his fish pond. He had a great appreciation for nature and especially loved spending time in the gardens he meticulously nurtured. Above all, Henry cherished his family and was his happiest when surrounded by his “three girls”.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ann Patunas.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Patti, his daughter, Christine Baxevane and her husband Nick of Flemington and Olivia, the apple of his eye and only granddaughter.
A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.
Friends may visit on Monday from 3:00 to 7:00PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse NJ 08888.
Entombment will be in St. Bernards Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
Please be aware that the mausoleum restricts the amount of flowers permitted. Should anyone desire to send flowers, please choose a plant or small arrangement that the family will be able to bring home.
