Obituary of Liesel F Braeunig

Liesel F.  Braeunig, age 88 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Born in Benigheim, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marie Weiberle.

Having lived in Union since 1960, Liesel moved to Whitehouse Station 7 years ago. She became a member of the Rockaway Reformed Church and enjoyed playing games with her many friends at the Mirota Senior Residence Apartments.  She was a member of the German Club in Clark, NJ and in her younger years enjoyed visiting relatives in Germany.

She was predeceased in 2015 by her beloved husband, Gerhard and by her sister, Giesela DiGaudio.

She is survived by her son, Peter and his wife, Margit of Whitehouse Station; by her 2 grandchildren, Daniel Braeunig and Kathleen Braeunig-Stowell; and by her 4 great grandchildren, Logan, Braedan, Hunter and Jackson.  She also leaves behind her nieces, nephews, friends and family who will all miss her. 

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM  at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.  A Memorial Service will be held beginning at 11:00 AM with a repast to follow.
