Obituary of Kenneth Robert Weygand Sr.
Kenneth Robert Weygand Sr, age 79 of, Whitehouse Station died peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
Born in Sewaren, NJ he was the son of the late John and Jeannette Weygand.
Ken was a resident of Whitehouse Station for the past 49 years.
He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam era. Ken was a plant manager for several wire mesh production companies before he retired in 2005.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and of the American Legion Post 1000 in Trenton.
Ken enjoyed gardening and loved animals. When his children were growing up, the family enjoyed many camping trips throughout the New England states and Canada. He was a model train enthusiast and was a master at restoring old trains. He loved crafts and his specialty was building bird houses. Always happiest when he was with them, his family meant the world to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Maryann, his daughter, Beth Ann Weygand of Bloomsbury; his two sons, Kenneth Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Blairstown, and Kevin of Whitehouse Station; his sister, Lois Horner of Suffern, NY; and his five cherished grandchildren, Leocadia, Samuel, Charles, Sydney and Stella.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station.
Friends may visit and pay their respects and visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse NJ 08888.
Burial with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Clinton, NJ.
