Albert Wilson

Obituary of Albert M Wilson

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, Albert Wilson III was called home to eternity.

Albert was born in Asheville, NC on December 10, 1961. A place he often spoke about in the highest of regards. He loved recanting stories of his childhood. Spoke in fondness of the relatives that have preceded him, and the overall enchantment of Asheville, NC.

In his final moments, he was surrounded by his family with love and comfort - his loving daughter Dominique Wilson (VA), his mother Jackqueline Wilson (NJ), his younger sister Tamara Wilson (NJ), his younger sister Sherry Wilson (NJ). With him were also his younger brother Christopher Wilson (NC), who he actually called Shawn, and his wife Lyn, his nieces Jackqueline “Jack”, Farah, Kate, and his nephew Christopher “Biggie” all of whom he adored.

He is survived by his mother Jackqueline and his father Albert Wilson Jr. (AZ), and his Aunt Diedrie (GA), along with countless family and friends who will dearly miss him.

Albert held various positions within AT&T. His career was expansive and rewarding throughout his 40 years of service prior to retirement. Albert’s technical knowledge and project management skill set afforded him many opportunities within the company. He led many of AT&T’s endeavors in multiple locations.

To know Albert is to know he was a multifaceted individual. He enjoyed every moment he could to wear Penn State gear to show his pride in his daughter, Dominique, and her degree in Kinesiology. His love for cooking made him the best home chef in many people’s lives. Sharing that love with Dominique and to see her carry that tradition in her cooking and baking was truly rewarding to him.  He loved Formula One racing, the 24 Le Mans race, working on cars, listening to music, and most of all, having good conversations with laughter, especially with his mother.

In this time of sadness, remember the moments of great food and great conversations. That was the enjoyment of Albert, and that is how he would want to be remembered.
