Paula and family, I was so sorry to hear of Sam's passing. John enjoyed playing basketball with him many years back. May your loving memories help you all through this sad time. Rest in peace, Sam.

I first met Sam at Stanton Ridge when we would wave and say hi in and around the golf course. But I really got to know Sam on the Pickle Ball court. The first time I played Sam he whooped my butt so I can 100% agree that he was a fierce competitor. But what I enjoyed most about Sam is he always took time to engage in meaningful conversation. He always made you feel like you were the only one in the room as he truly cared about connecting. Rest in peace Sam. You will be missed.

We only knew Sam for a short while but we will miss him for the rest of our lives. We met, not surprisingly, on the golf course at Stanton Ridge. He reached out to us as new members to provide the warmest of welcomes. We admired his ability to save par from remote locations from the cup. His stories entertaining, his knowledge of US history and what makes us what we are today, riveting! We were looking forward to sharing more time with Sam but God has new plans for him. This unexpected tragedy has impacted many but keep the memories alive so Sam stays in our hearts……forever.

Sam. Wonderful human being with great values and high expectations of society and high expectations of individuals in society. Our family vacationed with the Tropellos. He coached Drew; I coached Steve. We both played golf together - and we played ping-pong in his basement. Card games too. He loved to win! Gracious in losing. My last interaction with him was a long phone call (several months past)... about two hours discussing the world of today. He was energetic in dialogue and dedicated to the community and his family. Laura and I will miss him.

I was fortunate to have been a member of the Dunn family and to have Sam as my brother-in-law. He was a model husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family and friends and made others feel like they were the most import person in the world. He had a contagious smile and calm demeanor; it was a privilege to have a conversation and spend time with him. He will live on in Jennifer, Steven, and Brad, as they share many of his wonderful qualities. There will be a huge hole in those famous family photos, but Sam will never be forgotten.

I've known Sam since kindergarten in Bogota, NJ. He was my best man at our wedding in 1968 at the university chapel at Princeton University. He was a wonderful man, a loving person and a devoted husband. We will miss him deeply.
