Obituary of Jean M Creaven

Jean M Creaven, age 71 of Flemington, NJ, died Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ.

Born in Somerville, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Michael and the late Theresa Obszanski. Jean graduated from Montclair State University and married Tom Creaven on April 28, 1973.

Jean liked anything with bubbles, picked sports teams by the color of their uniforms, loved Ireland, Hot air balloons and Hugh Jackman. She also enjoyed decorating the house for the seasons, playing games on the computer, and in earlier days making ceramics.

Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tom who died in 2007.

She is survived by her sister, Theresa Gambino, her nieces, Jessica Creaven, Megan Creaven, and Erin Creaven, her nephew, Nicholas Gambino and cousin, Bill Obszanski  

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum in Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, the Creavens would ask to donate to the Flemington Food Pantry.
