Obituary of Betsy Jane Booth
Betsy Jane Booth (Jackson), 81, passed away as she had always wished, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, Betsy spent her formative years on a farm alongside her cherished brothers, the late Henry "Hank" Jackson and John Jackson, and her beloved sister, Judy Seiker. For an incredible 64 years, she shared a remarkable and fulfilling life with her devoted husband, Lansing T. Booth Sr., residing in Whitehouse Station, NJ, for 46 of those years. Together, they nurtured a close bond with their five children: Roxanne Booth (deceased), Lansing T Booth, Jr (JR), Devany Lee Booth, Robert J Booth, and Kristy A. Ball (Booth), who chose to live in close proximity, treasuring their connection.
Betsy's legacy extended beyond her immediate family, as she adored her eleven grandchildren: Nicki Winfield, Michael Booth, Jake Booth, Jamie Booth, Victor Carinha, Kyle Booth, David Booth, Cory Booth, Samantha Booth, Ryan Ball, and Aiden Ball and six great-grandchildren: Adalyn Grace Winfield, Reed Booth, Riley Rae Winfield, Ellie Marie Booth, Westin James Booth, and Luna Grace Booth.
Throughout her extraordinary life, Betsy embodied unwavering devotion as a cherished wife, nurturing mother, doting grandmother, beloved great-grandmother, supportive sister, cherished aunt, and true friend to many. Among her many passions, none held a more special place in her heart than horticulture. As a master gardener, Betsy dedicated countless hours to transforming her land into a mesmerizing oasis, where the vibrant beauty of flowers, trees, and flourishing vegetable gardens brought her solace and fulfillment. Drawing from her upbringing on a farm, she lovingly tended to a diverse menagerie of animals, further deepening her connection to the land she adored.
A testament to her boundless energy and entrepreneurial spirit, Betsy enjoyed a thriving career as a successful businesswoman, proudly co-owning L&B Printing, Inc., alongside her husband. Outside of work, she immersed herself in a multitude of hobbies, showcasing her diverse talents. Betsy's insatiable thirst for knowledge was only matched by her extensive library, a testament to her lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth. Her profound faith in Christ anchored her life, serving as a guiding light and a source of strength.
We remember her as an avid reader, skilled crocheter, adept woodworker, expressive painter, talented cook, and gifted baker, she found immeasurable joy in nurturing her creative passions. Yet, it was the time spent gathered around the kitchen table that remains etched in our memories. Engaging in heartfelt conversations, Betsy shared her wisdom and served as a cherished mentor, infusing every interaction with laughter and unbridled joy.
Beyond her exceptional accomplishments, Betsy possessed an enduring beauty that radiated grace and elegance in every aspect of her being. The void created by her passing will forever resonate with those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her, their lives forever enriched by her presence. Betsy Jane Booth (Jackson) will be deeply missed, and her memory will forever inspire us to cherish the beauty of life and the immeasurable value of love.
A visitation will be held at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888 on Friday May 12, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Red Bank, NJ.
All friends and family are welcome for repass luncheon at StoneyBrook Grille, Branchburg NJ at 2:00 PM.
