Obituary of Joseph R Humenick III

 

Joseph R Humenick III, age 73 of Lebanon, NJ, died Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.

 

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph R Humenick Jr. and Flora Humenick.

 

Joe grew up in Lyndhurst and lived in Carlstadt before moving to Lebanon in March of this year.

 

He was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and spoke fondly of his years in the service.

 

Joe was the Engineering Manager and worked at St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic for more than 30 years until his retirement several months ago.

 

Joe was a lifelong fan of Jimmy Buffet. He loved all things related to the ocean and to overseas travel. His dry wit and steadfast personality were always a comfort to the people that were closest to him.

 

Joe was predeceased by his wife, Mary Humenick and his brother, Raymond Humenick.

 

He is survived by his daughter, Noelle Humenick and her husband, Bob, his brother, John Humenick, and his stepchildren, Mark Ferraro, Mike Ferraro, and Michelle Ferraro.

 

A memorial service will be held at Joe’s church, Carlstadt Christian Assembly, 307 Washington Street, Carlstadt, NJ 07072 on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00 am.
