Arlene M. Ciallella, age 83 of Whitehouse Station, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning, surrounded by her family.

Born in Newark NJ, she was the beloved daughter of the late Peter P. Solecki Sr. and Johanna Solecki nee Marcantuono, wife of the late Anthony (Tony) J. Ciallella Jr., mother of Anthony J Ciallella III (Diane), Michael, and Gina Pento (Chris), grandmother of Angela, Anna Marie, Christopher, Anthony, and Aiden, sister of Peter P. Solecki Jr. and the late Gary Solecki.

She worked at Prudential Insurance before and after her marriage to Tony. She then chose to stay home and raise her children until she joined her husband at his company, DiNamic Specialty Advertising, as an administrative assistant. After relocating to Whitehouse Station, her final job was working for Hallmark Cards as an in-store merchandiser.

She had fond memories from her marriage to Tony, her early days in Newark, and lifelong friends. More recent memories were summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ with her children and grandchildren. Sitting around the kitchen table and sharing a nice home-cooked meal always made her smile.

She won the hearts of all who came in contact with her. Known to many for her spectacular baking, knitting, and sewing skills. All dear family and friends will greatly miss her.

A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Concept Church in Annandale, NJ on Friday, December 29th at 10 am, and burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
