Obituary of Edward J Rogozinski

Edward J. Rogozinski, age 80 of Whitehouse Station, NJ died Friday, January 5, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in Somerville, NJ he was the son of the late Chester and Lottie Rogozinski.

Ed grew up in Whitehouse Station, moved to Manville for 16 years and then returned to Whitehouse Station in 1988.

He was a cement mixer truck driver for many years and worked for Phillips Concrete and then Mensing H S Co. Inc.  Ed was also the owner/operator of Ed's Valley Store, a convenience store /deli, in Manville.

Ed was a devoted family man, who enjoyed spending time with family, taking vacations and enjoying an ice cold beer.  He had a good sense of humor, a hearty laugh and always had a great story to tell.  His expressive eyebrows always gave a clue as to how he was feeling!  He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and the thrill of the races brought him immense joy.  His much-loved dog Susie was an inseparable companion who crossed the rainbow bridge before him and whose memory he cherished.  His legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Betty, in 2017.

He is survived by his three daughters, Lois Byra and her husband, Frank of Whitehouse, Diane Holmes and David Anzalone of Whitehouse Station and Carin Hunt of Denton, NC.  He is also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren, Drew & Megan Byra, Brooke, Claire, and Gina Holmes and Elisabeth Paige and Evan Hunt.
