Obituary of Robert J Cifelli

Robert J. Cifelli, age 91 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Somerset, NJ.

Born in Elizabeth NJ, he was the son of the late Angelo and Margaret Cifelli.

Robert was a resident of Whitehouse Station for the past 49 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean War.

He graduated from Somerset County Community College and Rutgers University, and though he retired after years of working at Cozzoli Machine Company; he stayed busy with many pursuits, and also worked for Kearns Funeral Home for the past 20 years.

He was a devoted communicant and Usher of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station  a 4th Degree and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #6930.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Virginia, a half sister Sandy Cifelli, his son Curtis Cifelli and his wife Sharon of Mebane, NC, his cherished grandchildren Aubrie and Alyssa, 3 great grandchildren, his niece, Jeanmarie and great niece, Amanda, and nephew, Kevin as well as many other loving nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.

A funeral liturgy will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station.

Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Cemtery, Flemington.
