Obituary of Josephine Cheesman

Josephine Cheesman, “Jo” age 92, of Whitehouse Station, NJ died Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington.

Born in Nutley, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Carmel and Theresa DeMarco.  

Josephine lived in Readington Township most of her life and retired after working for Ethicon in Bridgewater for more than twenty-five years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Henry to which she was married for 67 wonderful years and had four children.

She is survived by her children Barbara (Ronald) Martin, Theresa (Mark) Petersen, Carol (Sal) Tavaglione and Michael (Christine) Cheesman, her seven grandchildren, Ronald Martin Jr., Mark Petersen, Jr., Christine Petersen Egbert, Rebecca Martin Peifly, Cara Tavaglione Calderone, Jerrit Martin and Kristen Cheesman; her eight great grandchildren Madison, Aubrey, Ronald, Joseph, Sara, Jack, Theresa and Lincoln as well as her sister, Lucy Zabawa of Toms River and her brother George and his wife, Betty Ann of Ponte Vedra Florida

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ 08888.

A committal service and entombment will follow at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church Cemetery in Bridgewater.
