Obituary of Kathleen M. Slaughter

Kathleen M. "Kathy" Birmingham Slaughter, 61 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Kathy was born September 26, 1953 in Newark, NJ, daughter of the late William and Evelyn Birmingham. She formerly resided in Irvington and Flemington, NJ. She graduated from Irvington High, class of 1972. She worked at Bishop's Market for 15 years before retiring in 2008 and enjoyed her latter years with friends and family. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Travis L. Slaughter of Whitehouse Station, NJ; son, Travis Slaughter III and loving daughter, Dawn Dorf and husband, Dan also of Whitehouse Station; son, Jason Slaughter and wife, Nicole of Phillipsburg, NJ; and her four grandchildren, Tucker Dorf,Travis P. Slaughter, Jacob Slaughter, and Shelby Dorf. She is also survived by her brothers, Louis and William Birmingham both of Roselle Park, NJ and her sister, Ruthellen "Re" Valvano of Houston, TX. A visitation will be held on Thursday June 11, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28 Whitehouse, NJ 08888. A funeral mass will be held on Friday June 12, 2015 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 390 County Route 523 Whitehouse Station, NJ.
