Obituary of Nicholas L Cirignano

Nicholas L. Cirignano, 88, of Bedminster, NJ passed away October 19, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Nick was born in Bernardsville, NJ and lived in the Bernardsville/Bedminster area his whole life. He was a graduate of Bernards High, Seton Hall University and a CPA by trade. He served his country in Europe in WWII. He was active in many charities including, New Community, Newark; a co-founder and trustee of the G.R.A.C.E. Project Foundation, a grade school and health clinic in Kenya; and the Knights of Columbus. He lived a life that was full of faith, family and friends. But the joy of his life was spent on the sidelines of the hockey, basketball, soccer, tennis and football fields cheering on his many grandchildren. Nicholas was predeceased by his wife, Margorie Kenny Cirignano of 48 years. He is survived by his sister, Rose Cirignano, 8 children, Larry, Tom, Julia Hunter, Nick, Edward, Peter, Margie Ryan, Marybeth Cremer and 18 grandchildren... as Nick would always say, 'He was very blessed.' There will be a viewing on Tuesday, Oct. 23rd from 4pm to 8pm at Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 24th at noon, St Brigid church, Peapack, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the G.R.A.C.E. Project, P.O. Box 118, Far Hills, NJ. 07931 or the Somerset Hills YMCA/Live Strong program.
