Obituary of Eugene Rosiecki

Eugene Rosiecki, age 81 of Flemington, NJ, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at his home. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the son of the late Alexander and Blanche Rosiecki. Eugene had lived in Manville prior to moving to Flemington in 1970. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a Dental Technichan who assisted the Oral Plastic Surgeons. He had a great respect for the troops on the front line. Eugene was a professional singer in the 1930s through the 1950s with the Alston & Johnson Company. He was trained under Mitch Miller. He left his demanding career in music after marrying his bride, Emily J. Rosiecki so they could raise a family. He then joined the industry work force, working first for Johns-Manville as the Chief of Plannning and Scheduling Manager then the Princeton Chemical Warehouse as Plant Manager and Kooltronics in Hopewell where he was the Materials Manager. During these full time jobs he also managed the Step-Rite Shoe Store in Flemington for 25 years and continued to sing in many different venues. Eugene was a member of the Manville V.F.W. Post 2290. He was an active member of the Democratic Club and belonged to numerous Glee Clubs. He had a gregarious personality and loved spending time with people. He also had a genuine concern for people down on there luck. His greatest attribute was his dedication to his family. Eugene was predeceased by his beloved wife, Emily who died on December 25, 2005. He is survived by his two sons, Gary Rosiecki and his wife, Elizabeth of Laytonsville, MD; and Robert Ross and his wife, Maggie of Nahant, MA; his sister, Lorraine Drialo of Allentown, NJ; and his two grandsons, William Patrick and Charles Ross. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 10:00 am at Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.
