Obituary of Phyllis D. Ballantine

Phyllis D. Ballantine, age 69 of Whitehouse Station, NJ. died Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Nazareth, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Katie Hopkins. Phyllis had lived in Rahway before moving to Whitehouse Station 38 years ago. She had worked for the Readington Twp. School District for 10 years and the ARC of Somerset for 7 years before working for the Home Health Services at the Hunterdon Medical Center for 5 years, retiring in 2003. Phyllis was an extremely gifted artist who loved to paint landscapes. She loved to listen to classical music and enjoyed taking bus trips with the different Senior Citizens Groups. Phyllis was pre-deceased by her husband of 37 years, William Ballantine who died on January 12, 2001. She was also predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Renaud. She is survived by her loving children, John Ballantine of Atlanta, GA; Mark Ballantine of Stockton, NJ; and Faith Armonaitis of Hasbrouck Heights and her 5 beloved grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ.
