Obituary of Alexandra Yankowski

Alice Yankowski, age 85 of Byron, GA., died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins, GA. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 20, 1920. She had lived in Whitehouse Station, Flemington and Florida before moving to Byron 2 months ago. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station and St. Magdalen's Church in Flemington. Alice had worked for the American Cancer Society in Flemington for 17 years before retiring in 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Yankowski Jr. who died in 1975, her daughter, Dolores Brittian who died in 1985 and her son, Robert Yankowski who died in 1997. Alice is survived by her daughter, Barbara Giles of Byron, GA; her son, Joseph Yankowski also of Bryon, her daughter-in-law, Marian Yankowski of Stanton, NJ; her brother, Henry Klem of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and her grandson, Richard Ellis of Hickory, NC A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, October 31, 2005 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater.
