Obituary of Henrietta Stevens

Henrietta Stevens, age 94 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bessie Hill. She had lived in Bayonne, in Jersey City for 40 years and in Toms River for 25 years before moving to Whitehouse Station in 2001. Henrietta had worked in the Customer Service Department as a customer service representative for Metro Glass/ Kraft Foods in Jersey City for 25 years before retiring in 1976. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church in Jersey City and St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society . She was a member of the Deborah Heart Association in Browns Mills and the Holiday City Carefree Choristers in Toms River. When she moved to Whitehouse Station she joined Our Lady of Lourdes Church and belonged to the Briteside Adult Day Services Center in Flemington. Henrietta was predeceased by her husband, Joseph G. Stevens who died in 1997. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Irene Stevens of Whitehouse Station, her brother, Michael Hill of Silver Springs, FL; a sister, Dorothy Dugan of Bridgewater, 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Thomas, Michael and Carolyn and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
