Obituary of Kathleen Wells

Kathleen Wells, age 53 of formerly of Basking Ridge, NJ died Sunday, January 8, 2006 at St. Josephs Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. Born in Morristown NJ, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and June (Smith) Wells. Kathy had lived most of her life in Basking Ridge before moving to Wayne NJ. 4 years ago. Kathy was stricken with Muscular Dystrophy as a young girl after receiving a polio vaccine. Despite being confined to a wheelchair, she was a very determined person. She had a strong will and was fiercely independent. She would not let others do for her what she believed she could do for herself. She is survived by her brother, George Wells and his wife Linda of Dover, NJ; and many friends who loved her. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge followed by a Celebration of Life Service at noon at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 140 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
