Florence J. Dominko A True Treasure Florence J. Dominko, born to Andrew and Isabella Martin on April 23, 1924, lost her valiant 30-year battle with cancer on November 4, 2005. She was surrounded by her loving family when she passed. Granny Darlin loved her family. She was very close to her brothers Andy and Bill, best friend Aunt Alice Hayes, long time friends Gussie and Leroy Moore, as well as her 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She wanted to know what was going on in their lives and to make sure everyone was safe and sound. An avid traveler, she enjoyed visiting England, France, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Hawaii, the West Coast and Florida. She had a presence that never required translation. She was an ardent Frank Sinatra fan and truly enjoyed Rod Stewart singing the classics. Mom was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Gene. They had been married for 49 years. She was also predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Blazier. She is survived by her brother Andy Martin and wife Jean of Fort Walters Beach, FL; her brother Bill Martin of Millsboro, DE; her best friend of 64 years Alice Hayes of Perryville, NJ; her son Bob and wife Sue, their daughters Andrea and Sarah, Sarahs daughters, Kailey and Aaliyah of Lewes, DE; her son Jay and his girlfriend Bobbi of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her son, Tom and wife Arlene, their daughter Steph and son Dan of Bethlehem Twp., NJ; her son Ken and daughter Mel of Lebanon, NJ; her daughter Kathy Ciesla and husband John, their son Mike (grandmas gentle giant) and daughter Jessica of Pohatcong Twp., NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
