Obituary of Susan Kistulentz

Susan Kistulentz, of State College, PA., died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA. Born in Oneida, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan Stefanick. Mrs. Kistulentz had lived in Jeddo, Oakdale and Hazelton, PA before moving to Manville, NJ in 1956. She had lived in Manville until 2002 when she moved to State College, PA to be near her son. In the 1940s and 1950s she worked at the Altamont Hotel in Hazelton as a waitress and hostess. She would take the bus to the hotel very early in the morning to open the coffee shop. She would also work on the weekends when large social events were being held. She enjoyed working at the hotel and had a friendly relationship with the employees and a nice rapport with the guests. While living in Manville, Mrs. Kistulentz was a communicant of St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her daughter, Katherine Kiseleski who died in 1966 and her husband, Andrew Kistulentz who died in 1980. She was also predeceased by her 5 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Nancy Kistulentz who were formerly of Whitehouse Station and now live in State College, PA; her five loving grandchildren and 5 loving great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church, 1900 Brooks Blvd. Hillsborough. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with a Parastas Service at 3:00 pm at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Manville.
