Obituary of Gladys Fox Hollowell
Gladys Fox Hollowell, age 100 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Friday, October 27, 2006 at her home.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Hattie Mae (Burlew) Fox.
She had lived in Keyport and Clinton before moving to Whitehouse Station 30 years ago.
Gladys had worked in the Credit Department at Sears in Perth Amboy for 15 years before retiring in the early 1970s.
She was a former member of the Eastern Star and Hunterdon Grange. She was an active member of the Rockaway Reformed Church in Whitehouse Station. The church was very important to her.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Herbert L. Hollowell who died in 1973. Her sisters, Harriett F. Larson and Evelyn F. Huff, also predeceased her
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Herbert G. and Elaine Hollowell of Whitehouse Station, her three grandchildren, Merrill Hutchinson, Herbert G. Hollowell II and Mathew S. Hollowell and her four great grandchildren, James, Kelly, Gavin and Lauren.
A graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 11:30 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
