Obituary of Gerda VanVeldhuisen

Gerda VanVeldhuisen in her 98th year of Whitehouse Station, passed away peacefully in her home on December 1, 2006. Gerda was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in 1951 and to New Jersey in 1964. Gerda was a member of the Rockaway Reformed Church and sang in the choir. Her passion was dancing and exercising. She was a talented seamstress, knitter and crocheter and loved quilting with her granddaughter. Gerda was predeceased by her husband, Willem who died in 1978 and 2 sisters. She is survived by her three sons, William and wife, Grace, George and wife, Fennie and Dick and wife, Kathy and her daughter, Willie and husband Reg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 sisters. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at the Rockaway Reformed Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
