Obituary of Rita Cioppa

Rita Cioppa, age 94 of Flemington, NJ, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Rolling Hills of Hunterdon Care Center in Clinton Twp., NJ. Born on April 21, 1912 in New York City, Rita was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna (McCarthy) Marr. Rita had lived in New York most of her life before moving to Flemington in 2001. She had been a member of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Cioppa who died in 1997 and her son, Michael Cioppa who died in 1949. Rita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Helene Cioppa of Flemington, her grandchildren, Patrice LaMontagne, Maria Reich, Donna Marie Comstock, Robert Cioppa and Danielle Cioppa and nine great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in the chapel of Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY with burial immediately following. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse.
