Obituary of Frederick W. Spencer

Frederick W. Spencer, III, age 84 of Clinton Twp., NJ, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Frederick W. and Grace Spencer, Jr. Fred lived in South Plainfield before moving to Clinton Twp. in 1966. He taught drafting then electronics and robotics at the Warren County Technical School in Washington, NJ. During his career he was named Teacher of the Year. Fred was a radio operator with the call letters KG2K. He was also a member and past president of the Airstream's Watchung Unit of the Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI). Fred is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth (Betsy) Spencer, and his two daughters, Elizabeth Ihling of Bethlehem, PA, and Virginia Spencer-Baldé of Whitehall, PA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Daniel, Aimee and Aidan and his four great grandchildren. Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. All other services will be private.
