Obituary of James Joseph Engle

James Joseph Engle, age 63 of Palmer Twp., PA., died Monday, January 1, 2007 at the Easton Hospital in Easton, PA. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Engle. James had lived in Somerset County before moving to Palmer Twp., 2 years ago. James had worked for RCA in Bridgewater before working for Avaya in Bound Brook where he was a Systems Engineer, until his retirement in 2005. James was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was very active with Veteran Affairs especially the Vietnam War Memorial and MIAs. James is survived by Maddie Van Dyk, his partner in life, his daughter, Christine Ann Concannon of Whitehouse Station, NJ; his brother, Alfred Lucarnio of Georgia, his sisters, Annette Campbell of Raritan, NJ and Carol Anne Westberry of Alpha, NJ. James is also survived by his granddaughter, Alyssa and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 9:30 AM at St. Josephs Church, 16 East Somerset Street, Raritan. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse, NJ. Burial will be private.
