Obituary of Thomas Proctor

Loving, husband, father and grandfather Thomas Nellis Proctor, age 63 of Oldwick, NJ, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bonhill, Scotland, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Nellis) Proctor. In 1965, Thomas married Carla Porcieni and the two came to the United States in 1969, settling in Westchester, NY for 10 years before moving to Oldwick 30 years ago. Tom was an estate manager for the Todd family of Oldwick for 10 years before managing the Johnson Estate in Oldwick, for 20 years. He was a member of the Dumbarton Sub-Aqua Club and the Tewksbury Soccer Club. He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Graham who died earlier this year. Besides his wife, Carla, Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Jr. of Alexandria, Scotland and his four daughters, Evelyn Souder of Warminster, PA, Sharon McManis of Flemington, NJ, Josephine Hudish of Whitehouse Station, and Lorraine LaPlatte of Naples, FL. He is also survived by his brother, James Proctor of Balloch, Scotland and his nine grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse.
