Obituary of Grace Jean Lotito

Grace Jean Lotito, formerly of Plainfield and West Belmar, NJ passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at her sons home in Atlanta. She was 90 years old. Born to Anthony and Frances Pascazio in Brooklyn, NY, Sept. 10, 1916. Grace married Nicholas Lotito, also of Brooklyn, in 1940. They moved to Hollywood, FL in 1953 with their 3 children, Grace Cookie Belcastro of Clearwater, FL; Christopher Lotito who died last year in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Nicholas A. Lotito of Atlanta. Grace was widowed in 1967. She spent most of her life in Florida, working in the familys Italian grocery and raising her family. She loved to dance and loved people. She is survived by her daughter, Cookie, son, Nick, 3 grandchildren, John and Lori Belcastro of Knoxville, TN and Alex Lotito of Atlanta, four great grandchildren, Brent, John, Amanda and Jack Belcastro, sisters, Margie Butfiloski and Kitty Marino of Plainfield, brother, Joseph Pascazio of Fords and many friends and relatives by whom she was loved. Her brother, Frank Pascazio of Watchung predeceased her. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Somerville, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to either, The Focal Point Senior Center at 301 NW 103rd Ave, Pembroke Pines, FL 33026 or World Literacy Initiative, 918 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306.
