Obituary of Charles W. Parker

Charles W. Parker Jr., age 78 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Born in Salem, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles and Lucille Parker. Charlie was raised in Staten Island and had lived in Edison before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1978. Charlie served during World War II in the United States Marine Corps. He was a pipefitter with Proctor & Gamble in Staten Island for over forty years before retiring in 1987. Charlie was a member of the Masonic Lodge 135 in Edison. He was predeceased by his first wife, Shirley (Baker) Parker who died in 1978. Charlie is survived by his wife, Sheila (McCarthy) Parker, his son, Douglas Parker of Goodyear, AZ; his daughters, Nancy Yager, of Somerset, NJ; Beryl Dawybida of Elka Park, NY; and Heather Parker of PA. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Michael Briski of Louisville, CO; Dan Briski of Lebanon, LynnAnn Madden of Clinton and Kim Briski of Whitehouse Station and seven grandchildren, Ivy, Forrest, Michael, Kevin, Jack, Ashley and James. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway, Whitehouse. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Whitehouse Rescue Squad, P.O.
