I always enjoyed playing at Colleen's house as a kid and even as we grew up Mrs. Stockel was always interested in how we were doing. I still remember the stockel kids being called home by that bell. You will be missed and remembered fondly.

There are so many wonderful memories that I will hold close to my heart. Mrs. Stockel always treated me like her 3rd daughter. My favorite memories are of making gingerbread cookies with her and the family and Christmas time. I was always included as part of the family. She was always honest, and never judged. She was always there for me and my family and we feel so blessed to have known such a wonderful person.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Love,
Kimberly and Rob

Your gentle spirit and the caring things you did will live on in others.
We all admired your strength during your illness. May our "shared" granddaughters emulate your courage in their lives.
You will be sorely missed.
God's blessings upon you.
Till we meet again.
Love,

Whenever I was in your company at family gatherings, I would leave with the feeling that you were the family strength.
I will always think fondly of, and will truly miss, your very exceptional CHEESE CAKE.

Aunt Ellen is such a wonderful woman. She was always so sweet and kind. I looked forward to visiting her in NJ or the Outer Banks. She told me many stories of the Stockel kids when they were little and she shared Grandma Stockel's cream cheese pound cake recipe with me. I really felt like she was a surrogate Mother in law to me since Chip's mom passed early in our life together. We regret that we can't be there with you to celebrate her life. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Stockel family during this difficult time. Chip is thinking and praying for you too all the way from Saudi Arabia.
We hope to see you soon,
Leslie Stockel, Edmond Oklahoma

Mrs. Stockel was a pillar of our neighborhood. It was always a joy to visit with the kids on Halloween or bump into her at the store. We will miss her.

I have such wonderful memories of the years I spent growing up with Mrs. Stockel. She was a warm, wonderful person who has always been there for my family in so many ways. I was blessed that my husband and kids got to know her as well.
One of the things we still laugh at today is when Mrs. Stockel was outside talking with Mom one day and along came Olivia, who at the time must have been 3 or so. Well, she was tired of the two women talking and wanted the attention put on her so she said so innocently, "ok Stockel, it's time to go home now". We all laughed so hard. It's memories like that one that will keep her smile in my heart.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

The one thing I remember most about my aunt was how much love she had to give. She never judged anyone. She lived but the motto "as long as they are happy". Even when things were not so happy she saw the bright side of things.I use to love listening to her tell the story of how she and Uncle Rich met and feel in love. I don't EVER recall her saying anything bad about anyone. She felt that you have to walk in their shoes to understand why they said and did the things they did. I love and miss her already.Carol
