Obituary of Antoinette Dolores Zorsky

Antoinette Dolores Zorsky, age 86 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at her home. Born in Harrison, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Romanak) Chervenyak. She lived in Newark for many years before moving to Whitehouse Station in 1952. She graduated from Barringer High School in Newark, worked for Prudential Insurance Company, Bambergers and a furrier before WWII. During the war, she was an airplane inspector. Antoinette attended St. Elizabeths College in Convent Station and received a degree in Library Sciences. She worked as a librarian for Mt. St. John Academy in Gladstone for 8 years and was the Library Director of the Far Hills Library for 4 years. Antoinette also worked for her sons business, Economy Trophies of Whitehouse Station, as a bookkeeper for 27 years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church since 1952. She taught CCD for many years and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Her son, John Andrew, her granddaughter, Samantha, two brothers, Stephen Chervenyak and Edward Chervenyak and two sisters, Marie Nattrass and Ellen Thomas died previously. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Edward Joseph Zorsky, Sr.; her son, Edward Joseph, Jr. of Whitehouse Station, NJ and his wife, Cathleen; two daughters, Maria Dolores Zorsky of Lynn, MA; and Margaret Claire Zorsky of Whitehouse Station; one brother, Leonard Chervenyak of Denville, NJ; and three grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan and Rachael Zorsky. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for the Religious Education Library.
