Obituary of Jerry Auriemma

Jerry Auriemma, Sr., age 87 of Whitehouse Station, NJ, died Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Twp., NJ. Born in Manhattan, on January 1, 1920, he was the son of the late Antonio and Angelina Auriemma. He had lived in Queens and Brooklyn before moving to Whitehouse Station 14 years ago. Jerry served in the United States Army in WWII. He worked for the Reichold Chemical Company in Brooklyn for 45 years before retiring in 1982. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Auriemma and 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosemarie (Steiner) Auriemma, his son, Jerrry Auriemma and his wife Pat of Whitehouse Station, his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Auriemma and his 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Colleen, Marybeth, and Kaitlin Auriemma. He is also survived by his 2 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. There will be no visitation hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
