Obituary of Michael E. Kelman

Michael E. Kelman, of Annandale, NJ, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Hospice of Hunterdon Care Center. He was 67. Michael was born on July 9, 1940 in Brooklyn and grew up in Sag Harbor, NY. After graduating from Randolph Macon College he met and married Susan Lindsay on October 6, 1962. Mike spent much of his career in publishing and advertising in Manhattan. He and Susan lived in Huntington, NY for 40 years before moving to Annandale 2 years ago to be closer to their granddaughter. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Michaels love of animals was well known. His wit, intellect and cooking skills will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Mike was predeceased by his father, Irving Kelman. He is survived by his mother, May Kelman; wife, Susan Kelman; sons, David Kelman (Gail), Andrew Kelman and Christopher Kelman (Angela); granddaughter, May Ann Kelman; brothers, Robert Kelman (Maryann) and Peter Kelman (Nancy) and sister, Edith Kelman. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 25th from 2-4 P.M. at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Highway 28, Whitehouse. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at the Independent Jewish Cemetery in Sag Harbor, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312, would be preferred.
