Obituary of Ida T. Kocur

Ida T. Kocur, age 87 of Whitehouse Station, died Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home in Oxford. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Stella Slawinski. Ida lived in Whitehouse Station for over 60 years. She was a waitress who worked in many area restaurants such as Johnnys Suburban Diner, the Union Gap Restaurant and the Beaver Brook Country Club. Ida was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she belonged to the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Polish American Citizens Club and the Readington Senior Citizens group. Ida was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1983. She is survived by her son Paul and his wife Denise of Glen Gardner. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, November 1, 2007, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Kearns Funeral Home, 103 Old Route 28, Whitehouse. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2007, at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Whitehouse Station. A private burial will take place at Saint Bernards Cemetery.
