Obituary of Viola VanHooser
Loving wife and mother
Viola VanHooser, age 86 of Lebanon, NJ, died Sunday, November 25, 2007 at the Rolling Hills of Hunterdon Care Center in Clinton Twp., NJ.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Hilda Ahrens.
Viola lived most of her life in North Branch, NJ before moving to Laurel, MS then St. Louis, MO.
In 2000, she returned to New Jersey, living in Lebanon.
Viola had been a cafeteria worker at the Green Knoll School in the early 60s and a Bus Driver for the Galia Bus Company in the early 70s.
She was a member of the Houston Road Baptist Church in Laurel, MS and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. The last Chapter she belonged to was the Laurel Chapter No. 24 in Laurel MS.
Viola was predeceased by her husband, James V. VanHooser Sr. who died in 1980.
She is survived by her 5 children, James V. VanHooser Jr., Charles E. VanHooser and Denise Steigman all of St. Louise, MO; George Kenneth VanHooser of Whitehouse Station, NJ; and David L. VanHooser of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services and burial will be held in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Local funeral arrangements are being handled by the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
