Obituary of Patrice C. Moore

Patrice Connolly Moore, age 87 of Summit, NJ, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, NJ. The oldest child of Arthur F. X. and Maryrose Kearns Connolly, she was born in East Orange and resided in the Basking Ridge area until 1944. She was a 1937 graduate of Bernards High School in Bernardsville, NJ. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Colin W. Moore, her son, Stephen Kerry Moore and siblings, Kevin Kearns Connolly and Agnes Kearns Connolly. Survivors include her sisters, Joan Connolly Laporte of Leesburg, FL; Maryrose Connolly Fendler of Clarksville, TN; Katherine Kearns Connolly of Centerville, MA and her brother, Peter Kearns Connolly of New Haven, MO. An actress and poet, she attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, as well as the Actors Equity Association. She resided many years in Rye, NY and Westport, CT before moving to Summit 15 years ago. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Church in Basking Ridge, NJ. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Kearns Funeral Home, Whitehouse.
